International Women’s Day: 10 Pioneering Women

Happy International Women’s Day! Today is all about celebrating women and their achievements. I recently read 100 Pioneering Women, a book published by the National Portrait Gallery in conjunction with their 2018 Rebel Women exhibit, which feature portraits from the Collection of prominent and ground-breaking women, to celebrate 100 years of (some) women’s suffrage in the UK. I had a fun time making these little graphics and picking iconic images that go with each name too!

Six For Sunday: Favourite Authors to Follow on Twitter

Six For Sunday is a weekly blog series created by Steph @ ALittleButALot. Prompts for the first three months of 2020 are now up, and today’s prompt is Favourite Authors to Follow. It doesn’t specify how you might follow these authors; whether it’s just generally staying up to date on their career or actually following them on social media. Hopefully you’re not literally following them… I decided to go with my favourite authors on Twitter.

The series is currently on hiatus so no new prompts are being produced, but it’s a perfect opportunity to work through some old prompts I missed, or come up with some ones of my own! This week I’m taking a look at the books I really wish I had read last year, but for some reason or another didn’t get around to
