Book Review: 4.50 from Paddington by Agatha Christie

Goodreads summary: When Elspeth McGillicuddy is the only witness to a brutal murder-for which not even a body is in evidence-it takes all of Miss Marple’s remarkable ingenuity to discover the key to a secret which lies buried within a decaying country house.

I love Agatha Christie’s writing but I think all of her books I’ve read so far have been Poirot, so it was refreshing to read a Miss Marple book instead – even if she basically gets Lucy Eylesbarrow to do all the investigation for her! I liked that it took place on a country estate as the faded upper-class angle added another interesting layer to the story. I always think I know who the murderer was and why and then Christie completely pulls the rug out from under my feet. Every time! I’ll definitely read more Miss Marple in the future, I much prefer them to Poirot.
