Stacking the Shelves: April

Hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading RealityStacking the Shelves is a regular feature where I share everything I’ve added to my TBR list in the past month. Each month I look at the books I’ve discovered and tell you what they’re about, where I found them, why I want to read them, what their shelf status is, how high of a priority they are, and finally what my rating prediction is.

I’ve only added a couple of books to my TBR last month, but here they are!

The Majesties by Tiffany Tsao

What: A girl tries to uncover her family’s secrets after her sister poisons them all for reasons unknown.
Where: I came across this on NetGalley but I think I’ve seen it across various blogs in the past too.
Why: I love a family drama and I like the added internationality of this, with it being set all over; Indonesia, Paris, California, and Melbourne.
Status: ARC.
Priority: Medium.
Prediction: 3 stars.

Dune by Frank Herbert

What: A sci-fi classic set across an interstellar empire, warring over a powerful drug and control of the planet which is its source.
Where: This has had a huge resurgence in popularity due to the upcoming big-budget film adaptation.
Why: Honestly, in my TBR spreadsheet my notes for this book just say ‘i am timothée chalamet trash’. So that’s that. (Timothée will be playing the lead character in the film).
Status: To buy.
Priority: Medium.
Prediction: 4 stars.

Do you have any of these on your TBR?
Or have you read any already?
